ISRO Launches Free AI, ML Course- Check link to Apply, Course details and More
Introduction:
ISRO along with the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing commenced registration for a free 5 day online course on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). It is scheduled from 19th August to 23rd August, 2024. This course is designed for students and professionals who are interested in geospatial and related fields. After course completion ‘Course Participation Certificate’ will be provided.
Free AI and ML Course:

It is scheduled from 19th August to 23rd August, 2024. This course is designed for students and professionals who are interested in geospatial and related fields. This course contains the AI, ML and Deep learning along with data processing techniques and case examples in geospatial data processing. It will begin on 19th August 2024.
Who is eligible for Free AI and ML Course?
This course is specifically designed for the students and professionals who are interested to enrich the knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
Course Fee:
There is no course fee but seats are limited. Registration is accepted on First Come First served basis ensuring that participant secure a place in the program.
Course Content:
The course will contain following broad topics:
- Introduction to AI/ML and DL
- Methods in Machine Learning: Supervised, Unsupervised and Reinforcement
3.Deep Learning concepts through CNN, RNN, R-CNN, Faster RCNN, SSD, YOLO etc & their applications Space borne Lidar Systems
- Machine learning through Google earth engine
- Python for Machine/Deep Learning Models
Study material:
Course Study materials such as lecture slides, video recordings, open source software and handouts of demonstrations, etc. will be made available through e-class. Video lectures will also uploaded on e-class.

This course is a part of the IIRS Outreach which Program which has expanded its scope since it’s launching 2007. It started with just 12 universities and Institutions, the program now includes over 3500 Institutes. It has benefited diverse range of participant such as Central and State Universities, Private Academy Institutions, Research Institutes and Non-governmental Organizations.
